Cenovus Energy Day Operator- Process and Deoiling in Alberta, Canada

Cenovus is seeking a self-motivated individual for a Day Operator for Process and Deoiling. This position will be reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Process and Deoiling. It's an excellent opportunity to join an outstanding team of professionals.

This is a full time employee position working a shift of 7 days on, 7 days off.

  • Understand and perform safety, environmental and regulatory responsibilities, such as hazard identification, equipment lockout, emergency response, and implement safe working procedures

  • Identify and scope out opportunities to maximize production, minimize operating costs, and eliminate downtime

  • Troubleshoot and resolve process problems

  • Liaison between operations and maintenance staff

  • Support Operations Lead with day to day operational challenges

  • Perform isolation, depressurizing, locking out of equipment for Maintenance and construction

  • Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring and maintenance activities

  • Completion of D55 monthly checks on all storage facilities

  • Review / prioritize and provide input for the scheduling of work orders

  • Represent operations at design review meetings for PIM’s / MOC’s as required

  • Responsible to ensure that on the floor supplies are set up and maintained, (hoses, misc consumables, etc) Work with maintenance planner to manage area work order back log

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • 5 or more years plant experience in a similar role

  • Minimum 3rd Class Steam Certificate ABSA(Power Engineer)

  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • SAGD experience is considered an asset

  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when necessary

  • Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
