Reporting to the Vice President of CSD (Customer Solutions Delivery) the Senior Project Manager will have accountability for coordinating and driving our Safety Transformation Program, across multiple lines of business, cross functional groups, and stakeholders.

This position requires a self-starter with broad business acumen, strategic mindset, solid influencing and facilitation skills who will quickly develop both relationships and insights across the organization. Superior presentation and communication skills are imperative to success in this role. Strong experience in the Safety Industry will be a key asset.


  • Develop a Safety Transformation Program strategy, roadmap, objectives/targets and project plan and then execute against that plan

  • Report monthly on KPI’s, Safety initiatives, and the overall success of the program within Customer Solutions Delivery (CSD)

  • Develop recommendations to the Senior Leadership team based on progress and interim results

  • Build sound analytics in conjunction with cross functional teams to support the improved understanding of Safety practices within CSD

  • Lead, develop and monitor strategic Safety initiatives

  • Develop reports and presentations for executive and strategic reviews

  • Develop approach and conduct analysis to support assessment of Safety operational and project performance, issues and opportunities for improvement

  • Drive external benchmarking to ensure the safety program remains best in class

  • Undertake ownership and delivery of results on special projects identified by the Safety leadership team; examples for such projects include: Strategic partnership reviews, special projects, new corporate priorities that require immediate attention, process improvement initiatives, etc

Required Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Safety business practices in the industry and ability to provide thought leadership around Safety strategies and priorities

  • Technical background/experience and knowledge of the communications industry including: Knowledge of telephony practices, safety practices and a proven track record of leading large projects

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including development of executive reports and presentations

  • Exceptional program/project management skills, preferably with some safety program experience

  • Ability to develop and leverage frameworks to create clarity in the face of complex, ambiguous problems

  • Expertise in "creative analysis" using data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools

  • Strong business acumen with financial and analysis skills including correlations, statistical probability, cost benefit analysis, etc

  • Highly resourceful leveraging formal and informal networks in the Construction industry

  • Negotiation and influence skills to convey the importance and use of Safety data to key stakeholders to drive improvements and adoption of Safety practices

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and conflicting organizational requests

  • Ability to work in teams and provide leadership in cross-functional activities

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Bachelors’ degree or MBA desirable, but will heavily consider experience in the Safety industry

  • CRSP(Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation as asset

Required Experience:

  • Experience in performance metrics development and analysis, process improvement

  • Experience in management consulting, strategic planning, business analysis and leading complex teams

  • Proven track record of program and/or project management

  • Experience in the Safety industry in an asset
