JOB DESCRIPTION

Weatherford’s COROD continuous rod is one of the leading well optimization solutions for reciprocating and progressing cavity pumping (PCP) applications. Quick mobilization times, high levels of automation, and a globally based equipment fleet enable tremendous cost-saving advantages for our clients.

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following responsibilities, as well as other duties as assigned:

  • Move continuous rod reels to and from customer wellsites

  • Band continuous rod to ensure safe transportation

  • Complete shop and yard clean-up as required

  • Act as back-up Rig Assistant when required

  • Maintain regular communication with Field Supervisor and field service dispatch to ascertain rod reel requirements, etc.

  • Observe job procedures and identify problems; provide suggestions for controlling or eliminating problems; actively participate in continuous process improvement

  • Document all potential hazards and dangers and inform others (Hazard I.D.'s and near misses); wears personal protective equipment as required

  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures; complies with incident reporting and E.R.P.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum grade 12 education required

  • General labour experience required; oilfield experience is an asset

  • Mechanically inclined

  • H2S and First Aid certification are required for this position, and considered assets if current

  • Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract

  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility to work in remote locations; varying work schedules and extreme weather conditions
