We are looking to fill the Pricing and Assortment Manager position, based in Boucherville, Canada.

As part of this position, you will be accountable for:

Mission: As Pricing and Assortment Manager, you will be a part of the Profitable Revenue Growth Management team (PRGM), in charge of the development, implementation and execution of the overall pricing, promotion, and trade strategy within Danone Canada. Your main objective will be to provide complex and comprehensive analysis, insights and recommendations for elements related to PRGM, especially Portfolio & Channel mix, Price list and Price strategy in order to maximize top & bottom line results.

More specifically:

  • Set high-level channel pricing strategy grounded in market research and strong understanding of the internal and external environment.

  • Employ pricing instruments (e.g. simulator) to support the development of category, portfolio, and pricing strategy.

  • Lead development of pricing performance scorecards

  • Support consumer pricing research and market price information.

  • Set channel and format assortment strategy to drive profitable sales growth, consistent with consumer/shopper trends and aligned with supply chain realities.

  • Work in a cross-functional environment to ensure PRGM strategies are aligned with those of Danone Canada.

  • Support sales force in ad hoc requests.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Completed Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finances, or any other relevant field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience, preferably spent in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)

  • Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.

  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to distil information and uncover insights from a variety of sources.

  • Experience working with POS (points of sale), panel, shopper and TPO tools (AC Nielsen, IRI, Dunnhumby, etc.)

  • Leadership – demonstrating significant initiative & tenacity

  • Teamwork – be able to work with transverse teams
