Position is based out of home office, preferably in the GTA, Oshawa, Pickering, Ajax or Kingston areas, with frequent travel within the GTA, Eastern Ontario (periodically to Barrie or Ottawa, along the 401 corridor). Gas Card and monthly Car Allowance are provided.

As member of the Canadian Professional Products (PPD) organization, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Healthcare Area Sales Manager will have a significant impact on the PPD business by influencing end users to adopt Clorox Healthcare products for use across their facility.

Position Summary/Responsibilities

  • Drives both new and existing End User conversion/expanded usage of the Clorox Healthcare portfolio of products within Acute Care / Hospital facilities in Central and East Ontario. Mostly organic growth with present clients.

  • Works with the Regional Sales Manager to complete on-going analysis of business results vs Plan. Identifies gaps and opportunities, the key drivers behind them, and recommends action plans to address them. Owns all volume and revenue objectives for their territory.

  • Completes customization of presentations to ensure they are Distributor//End User specific.

  • Helps to coordinate and actively participates in National/Regional Trade & Association events as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

  • Min 3 years of direct healthcare / hospital sales experience or infection control

  • Working knowledge of the various provincial health structures/organizations

  • Strong analytical and decision making skills

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with particular focus on presentation skills and public speaking.

  • Ability to influence and educate a broad range of personalities & managerial levels

  • Self-motivated, self-starter, with strong independent planning & organization skills

  • Strong computer skills including MSOffice

Sales Capabilities

  • Healthcare Industry - A strong understanding of how end users operate and make decisions and how to influence those decisions. Knowledge on RFPs and contract management is a strong desire.

  • Distribution - A strong understanding of go-to-market approach when managing via a distributor vs. direct.

  • Categories - Knowledge of, infection control, pathogens and/or other technical knowledge is mandatory.

  • Sales Fundamentals - planning out call cycles, managing current + future business call load, managing objections, persuasive selling, and distributor management/influence.
