Job Summary:The Sr. Manager, Marketing is responsible for managing and directing the Marketing Department within the Laboratory Automation Business Segment of the Chromatography and Analytical Technologies Division. The position is responsible for developing and effectively executing marketing strategies to increase sales for all products and services.Essential Job Functions:Performs market research, develops marketing strategies and determines the most effective marketing methods to track demographic trends and market demandsPlans, develops, designs and implements the strategic and tactical marketing plans.Assures strategies are consistent with overall goals and objectives for the organization.Portfolio and product life cycle management.Responsible for planning and execution of product launches.Provides input and direction for new product development. Prepares presentation and necessary document as per the NPD (New Product Development) process.Directs product strategic planning activities; prioritizes product opportunities to maximize sales and profits.Monitors and evaluates programs and expenditures.Establishes priorities, allocates funds and determines project direction.Participates in the development of new products and services, and determines new markets in which to compete.Maintains a close relationship with all areas of the organization in order to track the effectiveness of existing marketing programs.Establishes short and long term marketing goalsSelects, develops and supervises staffEnsures that best marketing practices are leveraged throughout the organizationOther Job Requirements:Domestic and international travel is required.
