Reporting into the Team Lead of Registrations & BAS, the Bilingual Bank Act Securities Clerk is responsible for efficiently processing client requests (for Section 427 of Bank Act) across Canada. Client requests primarily include new registrations, cancellations and annual renewals. All registration activities must be conducted within the framework of the Service Level Agreements. The position requires the individual to possess good keyboarding skills, be comfortable working with computers multi-tasking between various applications and adapt to changing environments. The individual must also work well in a team environment and demonstrate a positive attitude towards co-workers, department and company.

Additionally

  • Promptly respond to clients or suppliers verbally and in writing in a clear, courteous, professional manner. Participate in continuous improvement with focus on service excellence.

  • Accurately process client requests and billing of client requests. Adhere to client fee schedules and Government disbursements.

  • Use internal/external applications, monitor queues and process transactions within bench marked processing turnaround times and Service Level Agreements. Ensure all processes and procedures are followed. Process incoming mail and courier items. Maintain daily productivity reports. Participate in cross-training initiatives.

  • Provide assistance to co-workers and clients as required. Investigate, resolve and/or escalate issues. Identify opportunity for process improvements.

  • Perform daily tasks and duties adhering to processing standards while maintaining accuracy. Adhere to D+H policies, practices and company compliance.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English

  • Strong attention to detail with accurate typing of 50 wpm min

  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, research and follow instructions

  • Ability to exercise appropriate analytical and judgement skills required in dealing with moderately complex procedures.

  • Ability to perform under pressure (operational changes, high volume and tight deadlines)

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)

  • Ability to navigate through website content and various applications

  • 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday shift requirement, may change based on business needs

  • Target start date - January 3, 2017

Experience

Customer service and data entry experience knowledge from a financial institution an asset

Experience working in a fast-paced, performance based environment an asset
