Our Vancouver client is looking for a Financial Data Analyst ideally from the financial services sector for a 12 month contract engagement. The position is called Senior Conduct Program Analyst and will be reporting to a Head of a Regulatory Compliance department and some of the key job responsibilities include: o Review, analyze and pull out conduct insights from all relevant internal and external data sources and from the specific conduct Management Information (MI) going to the businesses. o Challenge the businesses' and functions' preparation of their specific MI and their assessments of what the MI means o Prepare MI documents and summaries for the Head of the department's review, for ultimate presentation to Regulatory Compliance Steering Committee and the Board's Conduct Review Committee, as well as the Global Conduct Compliance Working Group o Spearhead work to develop a Canada Conduct SharePoint or intranet site, automate data draws from key databases and create templates for presenting MI o Coordinate with Regulatory Compliance Risk and Strategy to contribute high value reports Executive, Board, and Group Committees o Review company, regulatory, and industry reports and papers to provide insight into and recommendations for areas for further research inquiry o liaise with Regulatory Compliance/Financial Crime Compliance Communications team to keep Canada Conduct Web Pages current o develop content for Conduct Team's semi-annual newsletter and for targeted communications to Heads of Regulatory Compliance teams and Conduct Champions embedded with the businesses and supporting functions o maintain RC Conduct Risk Desk Instruction Manual, as required If you are a qualified and experienced Senior Regulatory Compliance consultant, please submit your resume to Robert Half Management Resources today. Requirements: To be considered for this contract role, you must have the following requirements:

  • Designated accountant or person with statistics or library sciences background with excellent research skills

  • Excellent analytical & critical thinking skills and ability to identify trends or issues, as well as suggest programs likely to be effective in monitoring conduct performance

  • Ability to understand quickly the strengths and shortcomings of data sets, recommending ways and means of accounting for those qualities

  • Experience with banking conduct regulations with customers and markets

  • Works well in a dynamic work environment – both transformational and developmental area

  • Can work on details, as well as give Big Picture view

  • Ten years in banking or securities analysis; experience in Regulatory Compliance analysis as well is ideal

  • Formal statistical training and knowledge of statistical methodologies an asset

  • Strong drive for results and strong work ethic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Excellent PowerPoint skills and experience

  • Strong intermediate/advanced Excel skills
