We are looking for anSenior Engineering Managerto provide both technical and people leadership to a team of amazingly talented engineers, driving innovation in our online game distribution and subscription services across PC, console, Mac and mobile devices though offerings including Origin, EA Access and more. As well as growing and inspiring the members of their team.

In this role you will work closely with product owners and run one or more feature scrum teams delivering new features and support for areas of our products. You will collaborate with other EA teams to co-ordinate our efforts and manage dependencies and risks. You will also work closely with the Group Technical Director and other technology leaders to contribute to and adhere to technical standards and direction.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Delivery: Deliver product enhancements and support

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with game teams and central technology teams across EA

  • Manage Teams: Create high performing teams:coach, mentor, hire and performance manage

  • Engineering efficiency: Code quality & technical risk, sustainable software development, with the tools, technical processes and best practices needed to develop in an agile and efficient way

  • Project management: Track deliverables and dependencies, call out and mitigate risks and improve the process

What you bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience

  • 5+ leading and managing engineering teams

  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Experience building complex web Applications and or creating content management tools

  • Knowledge of modern web architecture and technologies like: HTML5, CSS3, Java, Javascript, SQL, NoSQL and Memcache with AWS+CDN hosting and or Content Management Systems like AEM CQ6

  • Knowledge of and experience with client and server code development

  • Understanding Continuous Delivery, and Agile development

  • Experience building and running highly scalable applications

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
