We are looking for a Content Management Software Engineer to provide both technical expertise to a team of amazingly talented engineers, helping to drive innovation in our online game distribution and subscription services across PC, console, Mac and mobile devices though offerings including Origin, EA Access and more.

In this role, you will work closely with a talented group of engineers with similar skills. You will be delivering new features and support areas of our products. You will collaborate with other EAX scrum teams to co-ordinate feature delivery, manage dependencies and risks. You will work closely with the Technical Lead other technology leaders to contribute to and adhere to technical standards and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery: Deliver product enhancements and support. Participate in best practices and various testing standards, including peer reviews.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with feature scrums teams and central technology teams across EAX. Collaborate with teams to help maintain the Agile methodology and improve workflows on products currently used and those on the product roadmap. This will include maturity of various applications into a regular delivery pipeline, focusing on test coverage, continuous integration, and application health metrics.

  • Engineering efficiency: Code quality & technical risk, sustainable software development, with the tools, technical processes and best practices needed to develop in an agile and efficient way

What you bring to the role

  • 5+ years, with experience working on large-scale web media-based solutions.

  • BS/ MS degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Ability to speak to technical conversations with other Product and Business staff, in addition to Engineering and Support/Operations teams.

  • Conveys highly technical concepts and information in written form to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • The ability to work on multiple concurrent projects is essential. Strong self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be a team-oriented individual, energetic, result & delivery oriented, with a keen interest on quality and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Expert in Java/J2EE/JSP - minimum 3 years experience developing large multi-tier system applications.

  • Java-based skill-set with extremely thorough understanding of AEM building blocks, templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and development / deployment processes.

  • Experience with dependency management, build & release and automation tools (Maven/Ivy, Jenkins/Bamboo, Chef/Puppet).

  • Deep domain knowledge of: JCR/Oak, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, High Availability architecture.

  • Working knowledge of: JavaScript, jQuery, Anjular JS, ReactJS, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS.

  • Experience modeling, retrieving and querying application data in the CRX and associated best practices associated.

Pluses to have

  • AEM 6 Architect Certification.

  • Complete understanding of other Adobe cloud services that can be implemented with AEM.

  • Experience with AEM v6.x Touch UI.

  • SEO knowledge.

  • Client-facing communication skills.
