Our Calgary, AB office has an immediate requirement for an Architectural Technologist /Job Captain to join our multidisciplinary team.

Your Duties:

As the successful candidate your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide expertise in the detailed design of buildings

  • Mentor junior and intermediate technologists

  • Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details and sketches for all phases of design through to construction

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams

  • Advise on approaches to construction documentation and team composition

  • Support Contract Administrators or perform contract administration yourself

  • Assist Principals / Project Managers with successful project delivery

  • Complete projects within timelines and budgets

  • Support good policies on project delivery, quality control, and safety

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7+ years in a variety of project types

  • Strong Revit user is a must as the majority of projects are completed using Revit

  • Demonstrated experience in a variety of project types and project delivery methods; experience with wood framing is considering a strong asset

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, especially younger teams

  • Job Captain experience is essential, with strong technical and detailing skills

  • Strong understanding of the National Building Code and Alberta Building Code

  • Experience in Contract Administration is an asset

  • Strong desire to advance your skills and abilities

  • Excel at written and verbal communication, strong English skills are a requirement

  • Attention to detail is a must

  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude
