Working within the Wholesale Accounting team, this position will play a key role in supporting the team through monthly, quarterly and annual close periods. It will include a combination of base business deliverables and ad hoc requests resulting in exposure to a variety of different tasks. This Coop term is available immediately thru August 2016. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable work experience, learn more about the agriculture business and to work within a high-functioning, successful team of professionals

Key Tasks:

  • Support on-going initiatives and special projects

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports

  • Assist with year-end deliverables as required

  • Compiling data and information to support analysis

  • Any other requests as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong desire to take initiative and move projects forward while trying to balance competing priorities

  • Organized and able to coordinate deliverables that have multiple inputs and stakeholders

  • Adaptable and willing to embrace change and take on new and additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • 2nd, 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Co-op program or in the Bachelor of Business Administration

  • Progress toward a degree in business, accounting or finance

  • 2 years related work experience is preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products with extensive knowledge of Excel

  • High attention to detail is critical

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and interface with various levels of management in a multi-task, deadline orientated, team environment

  • A positive attitude
