Cenovus Energy Geoscience Technologist - Student - 4 Month Term in Calgary, Alberta

Cenovus is looking for highly motivated and ambitious students to join our Geoscience Team. We have a number of opportunities supporting our operations which could include: Oil Sands (Foster Creek and Christina Lake) and Conventional Oil and Natural Gas (throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan).
This is a 4 month term beginning May 2017 in Calgary.
Under the guidance of a senior member of our Geoscience and/or integrated team, you will be assigned a hands-on project related to a geophysical issue in exploration or development. Project work will expose you to geophysical aspects of hydrocarbon exploration and/or development using seismic data, interpretive workstations and various geophysical software applications.
Legally entitled to work in Canada for the duration of your work term
Currently enrolled full-time in an Earth Science Technology, Geological Technology, Exploration Technology or Petroleum Technology Program at an accredited post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies after the work term
Expected graduation date: Winter 2017 or later
A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Previous field related experience is considered an asset
Experience working with Geographic Information Systems (Geographix, Petrel, Petra, GeoScout or ArcGIS) considered an asset
Available to begin work in May 2017
