We are currently seeking a Project Engineer, Intermediate to be seconded to an oil and gas site in Fort McMurray for 6 months, with the potential of the position being extended. Applicants living in the Fort McMurray area are preferred.

Your Duties:

  • Provide project coordination and technical input required design of projects related to client’s non-process assets within an operating plant

  • Coordinate work within a multidiscipline team environment requiring exceptional communication and organizational skills

  • Produce sketches and provide engineering input to drafting

  • Provide technical support during construction phase of projects

  • Ensure all engineering work is performed in accordance with quality programs

  • Strengthen group technical abilities/mentor junior personnel

  • Ensure project budget and schedule with respect to deliverables is achieved

  • Monitor client satisfaction for work completed

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) in Canada

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Buildings and/or Oil & Gas industry, preferably with an EPC in Western Canada

  • Experience with non-process asset (HVAC, cranes, etc.) design

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
