Job Overview

Reporting to the director, enterprise architecture, you will continuously develop and align digital capabilities with our business while considering the overall strategy. As a senior professional working with internal clients and teams, you will understand the architecture process and provide strategic methodology and framework, for meta-data, logical and context requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and communicate data architecture that is strongly aligned with our business objectives

  • Create overall standards and direction of architecture and technology

  • Create and maintain technical standards to guide operations and projects

  • Analyze and align the data architecture with other architectural domains

  • Create and maintain a standard set of data model templates and artifacts requirements

  • Analyze information flows and influence improvements to our information architecture

  • Identify the risk and reward of emerging business and information technology (IT) driven solutions

  • Enable and support strategy-driven change management

  • Identify, communicate and support common goals and objectives across multiple strategic programs

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • 15 or more years of experience in architecture development and related enterprise IT activities

  • Experience with developing business or IT strategies

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, software engineering, management information systems or equivalent

  • Professional certification as an architect with an industry-recognized organization (e.g. IBM) is preferred

  • Certification in enterprise architecture methodologies, such as the open group architecture framework (TOGAF) is preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong awareness and appreciation of trends and developments in the oil and gas industry affecting IT decisions

  • Knowledge of design and architectural patterns, data modelling practices and tools, and IT governance and operations

  • Ability to identify opportunities to reduce costs and risks

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to effectively build relationships with senior level executives and external vendors

  • Demonstrate solid judgment and pragmatic approaches to delivering digital capabilities
