Overview

The Senior Systems HR Analyst acts as an advisor to the Human Resources team providing technical expertise linking HR business requirements and process with the technical requirements needed by IT. The successful candidate will build strong, effective working relationships through team work and collaboration to ensure a solid understanding of processes for all HR programs and system requirements. Additionally, the successful candidate will effectively support the design and implementation of HR systems and any subsequent upgrades while ensuring data integrity is maintained and that any solutions will consider ease of use and is sustainable within business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate HR system upgrades of SAP and participate on HRIT projects

  • Provide input to the design and implementation of any new core HRIS and other HR systems including subsequent upgrades; ensure processes and results are documented for future references

  • Participate in investigation and implementation of consistent system and pay practices within Nova

  • Assist in detecting, identifying correct technical problems and deficiencies related to HR systems including data related integrations

  • Provide day to day support to the HRIS team and HR Business; Payroll; Position Management & SAP; SAP Table Maintenance; Reporting

  • HR Contact for escalated SAP Time related processes and questions

  • End user support of the SAP HR modules in terms of problem solving and remedy support

  • Ensure that HR systems and the associated data integrity is maintained; maintain integrity through standard integrity reports, data maintenance and implementation of standard operating/ reporting requirements

Qualifications:

  • University graduate with 7 to 10 years related experience and continued professional development

  • 12+ years combination of post-secondary education and related experience

  • Expert knowledge of SAP (Payroll, Time)

  • Experience with full and incremental data extracts from large ERP

  • Solid critical thinking and strong attention to detail

  • Excellent organization and complex problem solving skills

  • Must be able to present solutions in a clear, concise manner

  • Must have effective communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a project team

  • Must have excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, rapidly evolving team under tight deadlines

  • Experience with SharepPoint

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/ Suite (Access, Word, Excel – pivot tables, look-ups, filters etc.)

  • Work effectively in a team environment and in partnership with the HR Business and IT
