Intergraph’s Process, Power & Marine Division is seeking a talented Technical Sales Consultant – Information Management in our Calgary office, to support our industry leading Information Management (IM) & Plant Lifecycle solutions. Reporting to the Vice President, PPM Canada, you will be responsible for helping to create new strategic business opportunities for Engineering Information Management, Data Warehousing and Engineering Data Lifecycle Solutions for Owner Operators and EPCs in various process industries across Canada.

As the subject matter expert on Intergraph’s information management solutions, you will work closely with the Sales and Professional Services teams to plan and design strategic IM business objectives and will be responsible for providing pre and post sales support and consulting to new and existing customers. You will deliver targeted and custom feature functionality demos on Intergraph’s SmartPlant Foundation (SPF), SmartPlant Owner/Operator (SPO) and SmartPlant Fusion information management solutions. You will also be responsible for creating SPF/SPO/SPFusion demo sets that are re-usable by other Information Management Consultants or Pre-Sales resources for demonstrations targeted to both Owner Operators and EPC’s.

Up to 30% travel within North America is a requirement of this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Professional Engineering designation, Certified Engineering Technologist or equivalent industry experience.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience working within the Process marketplace, with preference given to candidates in the Engineering and/or Operations & Maintenance Departments of operating plants.

  • Experience with Information Management or Plant Software implementations.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

  • Solid understanding of engineering design, procurement and construction practices as well as knowledge of owner operator handover commissioning and start up work processes.

  • Familiar with the implementation and management of Engineering Design, plant operations and maintenance software and databases. Administrative experience managing these systems in a production environment will be considered an asset.

  • Ability to provide business process consulting in the Process Industry with both Owner/Operator and EPC companies

  • Strong knowledge of Information Management and Enterprise level integration of automated systems

  • Ability to think strategically and understand the implementation of large scale information management systems or enterprise content management systems within process plant environment

  • Ability to identify and understand Information Management in the Process Industry and to communicate to prospective clients how Intergraph’s suite of information management solutions meet or exceed their requirements

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Administration experience or knowledge of Intergraph Design Tools such as SPPID, SPI, SPEL, PDS and SP3D

  • Previous Business Development Experience
