Weatherford Technical Sales Representative - Reservoir Monitoring in CALGARY, Alberta

JOB DESCRIPTION

Weatherford Completions is looking for a technically minded individual to join the sales force representing our extensive products within our Reservoir Technologies and Gas Lift sub-business units. Fiber optic technology is one of the primary reservoir monitoring products and Weatherford is a leading edge supplier in this high growth sector of the industry. Weatherford’s gas lift technology is robust and has an extensive run history throughout the globe. This exciting and rewarding position is based in Calgary and will involve occasional travel to other parts of Canada and the U.S.

Duties include:

  • Create opportunities that result in sales of product and/or service to the customer

  • Satisfy all the requirements of the “sales cycle”

  • Represent Weatherford Completions Canada, WCS, to a high professional level

  • Work in a team atmosphere to ensure high customer service levels

  • Clear and timely communication of customer activity to WCS field operations

  • Maintain open communication within the sales team.

  • Keep / get educated on aspects related to equipment offered by WCS

  • Maintain current knowledge of all new equipment offerings

  • Produce quotations / proposals as requested internally or by the customer

  • Ensure customer deadlines and/or requested feedback times are satisfied

  • Manage the building of large tenders as required

  • Speak / present / facilitate to groups/customers regarding our product offering as required

  • Fill in for team members during vacation time or any other absence as required

  • Work with other WFT divisions to obtain sales leads and/or improve customer relations

  • Seek out new companies / customers that are currently not identified

  • Provide continuous feedback of market pricing on product offering

  • Fulfill marketing obligations as required (tradeshows…etc.)

  • Attend social functions representing Weatherford as required

  • Visit customer field locations and Weatherford field stations as required

  • Adhere to all Weatherford policies

  • Maintain current status of all Weatherford training requirements

  • Generate profitable sales

  • Obtain forward looking information to allow for accurate forecasting

  • Build relations throughout client operations

  • Ensure that product development / offering is aligned with client wants / needs

  • Determine opportunity for other Weatherford products and/or services

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma

  • Fiber optic monitoring technology experience

  • Oil & gas industry background

  • Thermal Completions experience

  • Gas lift background

  • Sales or customer relations experience

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Valid Canadian Passport

  • Ability to travel into the U.S. when required
