TRANSPORTATION CONTRACT MANAGER
We are recruiting for a Transportation Contract Manager position in our Cambridge, Ontario, Canada location.
Plan and execute the delivery of finished goods to domestic and international customers.
Ensure that service levels meet BWXT Canada expectations and contractual obligations.
Negotiate rate and service requirements with selected service providers.
Coordinate release and delivery of purchased material to BWXT factories and jobsites in accordance with procurement schedules and customs regulations where necessary.
Audit and approve transportation services invoices and ensure application of the appropriate contract charge.
Develop transportation cost estimates for projects with moderate technical requirements and moderate risk.
Review contract bid specifications to ensure proper scope/schedule, provide clarification on terms and conditions, and identify risks or opportunities as well as assess the customer site for delivery requirements and restrictions.
Develop methodology and manage dimensional deliveries while adhering to strict Nuclear code requirements.
Coordination of BWXT Customs Broker.
Auditing and approval of Customs Broker invoices.
Auditing and approval of customs entries and submitting for corrections.
Submission of export declaration to CBSA and StatsCan.
Consult with Buyers and vendors on NAFTA.
Customs refund claims and customs reporting.
Export Control Compliance application submittals and reporting.
Job Qualifications / Requirements:
College diploma / degree in Transportation / Business complemented by minimum of 3 years related experience.
Preference given to applicants who possess CCS, Canada Customs Specialist designation.
Technical knowledge of all modes of transportation with emphasis on transport of large equipment.
Practical knowledge of international customs and trade regulations and transportation law.
Understanding QAM and other procedures pertinent to transportation and INCO terms as well as cargo insurance.
Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong PC and ERP computer skills.
