This role is responsible for a combination of service and sales functions with a dedicated team player attitude. The successful individual reports directly to the Supervisor.

  • Provide clients with prompt, courteous and professional service

  • Resolve client concerns and complaints while ensuring that excellent service standards are met

  • Meet growth targets and sales goals

  • Analyze client coverage, exposures and loss experience to determine risk requirements

  • Prepare client pre-renewal and renewal packages, policies, submissions, binders, letters, summaries and invoices

  • Review policy documentation for accuracy and completeness

  • Identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities

  • Effective management of workflow

  • Servicing Personal Insurance accounts as well as selling

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by manager


  • College Diploma or University Degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in Personal Insurance required

  • RIBO License

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Experience on EPIC or equivalent insurance broker management system

  • CIP/CAIB/CRM Designation completed or in progress an asset

  • Strong organizational, time and client management skills

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

  • Strong team player and ability to work independently

  • Proactive and customer focused approach

  • Knowledge of diverse insurance policies and emerging insurance trends

  • Resourceful researching skills
