Lehigh Cement is seeking a qualified Production Supervisor. This position will reside at the cement plant in Delta, BC.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising personnel and all aspects of the manufacturing process according to operating principles, company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
Supervise and direct hourly personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
Supervise all aspects of the cement and clinker manufacturing processes.
Ensure production goals are met.
Properly administer all plant policies and adhere to conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.
Work with the plant laboratory to meet product specifications.
Diagnose delays in operations and takes appropriate actions to restore correct operating procedures.
Ensure timely call-out of required personnel.
Coordinate repair work with maintenance and/or electrical personnel.
Maintain plant records and logs.
Conduct safety and training meetings.
Minimum high school education required, preferably a college degree, in Engineering or Sciences.
Cement plant operating experience strongly preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and interact as a team member.
Good supervisory, leadership and motivational skills.
Working knowledge and technical understanding of cement manufacturing process and equipment.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to make timely and critical decisions and deal with multiple tasks.
Kiln Burning experience preferred.
Proficient in use of mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
