Essential Duties and Responsibilities for an Airport Ground Service Equipment Regional Manager - include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide prompt response to equipment service requests.

  • Have a working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs and required documentation.

  • Complete equipment repairs through a disciplined work schedule.

  • Comply with established Company/Government safety policies and procedures.

  • Understanding of applicable Company purchasing policies in order to receive equipment and parts.

  • Ensure the security of supplies and equipment.

  • Ability to work with station managers to stay within local station maintenance budgets.

  • Exhibit good communication skills and assist with GSE related issues, troubleshooting problems, assisting with locating parts.

  • Be a self-motivator and ability to work independently.

  • Conduct audits to ensure regulatory compliance related to GSE maintenance within the region.

  • Set-up equipment shipments and monitor deliveries.

  • Start up new stations to include; receipt and offloading GSE, proper inventory and labeling of GSE, set up all schedules and required forms, set up maintenance shops, maintenance providers, hiring of mechanics, tooling up shop, provide training to mechanics.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Requirements for an Airport Grounds Service Equipment Regional Manager:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must have previous Supervisory experience.

  • Must possess adequate mechanical tools.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Report/ MVR.

  • Must possess at least a High School Diploma / GED equivalent.

  • Must pass a drug test/ background check and be able to obtain airport security clearance.

Physical Requirements for an Airport Grounds Service Equipment Regional Manager:

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects over head for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time.

  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.

Background Qualifications for an Airport Grounds Service Equipment Regional Manager:

  • Three years experience in general automotive and heavy equipment maintenance to include Supervisory experience.

  • Strong troubleshooting and demonstrated leadership skills in the work place required.

  • Knowledge of California Emission programs to include (LSI, PERP, ORD, programs)

  • Ability to communicate with customers and fellow employees and serve as a team player under all types of conditions is required.

  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts.

  • Computer skills required.

Location/Specific Working Hours for an Airport Grounds Service Equipment Regional Manager:

  • Work Location – Open.

  • Specific shifts to be determined.

  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
