Reporting to the Manager, Operational Growth this position will provide hands-on experience in building and executing on a marketing plan, inclusive of social media, communications, and market development and growth opportunities. The marketing associate will drive engagement with new audiences and promote our brand in strategic growth areas. The position will provide a wide range of marketing and communications services to internal and external audiences. This position will ensure integration of the business development portfolio marketing plan with overall College marketing and brand development guidelines and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake strategic market planning analysis by identifying foreseeable threats, environmental analysis, customers to serve, competitors to challenge and product characteristics on which the business will compete

  • Corporate training market segmentation and product positioning analysis.

  • Conduct research on new and established markets, forecast changes in the market environment, seek and develop areas of business opportunities.

  • Build and drive integrated, multichannel marketing and communications programs

  • Direct and oversee the development of tactics for key events, digital and social media campaigns, website optimization, advertising, media buy and key industry insights tailored to the business development portfolio

  • Develop market contacts and relations to drive growth in open/public programs

  • Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve unit growth goals

  • Attend external brand and community events, tradeshows, conferences to develop relations in growth markets and assist sales team in reaching target audience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations or related field

  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience

  • Technology partnership and alliance marketing experience desired

  • Experience in building and executing on specialized marketing plans to grow niche markets

  • Experience applying qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience translating insights into actionable principles and opportunity areas for scaling our client base.

  • Experience working with external and internal PR agencies/resources.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Deep understanding of digital methods and techniques for online marketing and lead generation.

  • Thorough understanding of digital content development and delivery principles including social media campaigns and website / search engine optimization.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence

  • Strong project management skills and proficiency at effectively managing multiple, complex and time-sensitive projects.

  • Understanding of marketing and communication principles and exposure to IT data and analytics marketplace issues.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in converting complex learning and development concepts into compelling market messages.

SALARY: $52,052 to $67,626 commensurate with education and experience.

NOTE: This position also includes immediate participation in our comprehensive pension and benefits plan.
