Inland Aggregates a division of Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Sales Representative. This position will reside in Edmonton, Alberta.
Reporting to the Sales and Distribution Manager – Inland Aggregates, this position will be responsible for the marketing, sales and promotion of Aggregate products. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to our customers, maintain and grow our customer base, and gather market intelligence.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
Provide technical knowledge in the application of Aggregate products
Assist in the formulation, development and coordination of the delivery of highly valued account plans for existing/potential new customers that achieve mutual business objectives
Communicate with internal and external customers regarding projects, annual opportunities and job specific requirements
Effectively develop and leverage existing customer relationships, as well as achieve new business goals of sales growth within each segment
Resolve customer issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction
Prepare quotations per customers’ requirements
Compile market intelligence and identify potential projects
Represent the company within the business community and industry associations
Promote aggregate and aggregate-based products
Participate in the development of marketing plans, sales targets, and pricing strategies
Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering, Marketing or Equivalent
Knowledge of aggregate materials properties and quality control testing would be an asset
Knowledge of asphalt or concrete products is an asset
Professional sales experience
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Strong analytic and computer skills
Proven ability to set objectives and work independently
Flexibility and initiative to take on new tasks
Technical experience in aggregates, concrete or other related construction industry experience would be an asset
