Sales Representative (Retail)
Reporting to the Director, Regional Field Sales, the Sales Representative is responsible for managing all aspects of the sales function within the base of independent and chain customers. The territory for this role will cover Durham/Oshawa through to Peterborough, Belleville and surrounding. The Sales Representative will manage all customer inquiries, while developing/growing existing business and prospecting new customers for the assigned territory.
Responsible for achieving and exceeding gross margin and volume targets as assigned;
Develop and grow the business through new business development;
Prepare and present business reviews to customers and internal stakeholders, as required;
Communicate internally among Sofina Sales team, finance, operations, customer service and distribution departments to maximize opportunities;
Develop and execute a weekly schedule for customer visits to ensure efficiency and objectives are achieved;
Develop plans and reports to measure gain / loss in accounts with initiatives towards acquiring new or growing business;
Maintain a high level of competitor and marketplace knowledge including products, pricing, discounts, promotions and sales level.
College Diploma with minimum 2 years of sales experience in the food industry;
Ability to build and establish relationships;
Ability to travel to customers on a daily basis.
