We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative at our Guelph facility to provide support and assistance to customers, distributors, sales Agents, and prepare quotations and process orders for non-standard items, utilizing the SAP system..

Principle Accountabilities

  • Obtain cost and calculate sell prices for items purchased from overseas sister companies via S3/S4. Process of items not currently priced using defined formulas.

  • Obtain deliveries for items as indicated above when standard delivery information is not available, as per delivery procedure.

  • Prepare quotations for Distributors, Agents and Customers to be entered through SAP process

  • Work with Distributors and Agents utilizing the Web Store (coordinated with Commercial Administrator).

  • Obtain required documentation submittals as needed, domestically or from overseas, and submit to customers, as required (pump parts lists and sectional drawings, IOM manuals, dimensional drawings, etc.).

  • Obtain Tax Exemption Certificates for all US Customers. Load completed forms into ECM system working directly with the corporate tax team to resolve all tax billing issues.

  • Work with Engineering to obtain part numbers for basemounts, XBA packages, parts/pumps that require new part numbers.

  • Update Serial Number file information not electronically updated relating to special information, as may be relayed from Production relating to substitutions or special notes, etc.

  • Back up other Customer Service Representatives at Manager's discretion.

  • Enter orders for Customers and Agents through the SAP system that they are not able to enter through Web Store due to special pricing, non-standard product, or Agent is not able to access Web Store.

  • Assign, determine sales commissions. commission splits to applicable sales orders.

  • Assign sales partner functions ensuring booking accuracy for Distributors and Agents as well as Flowserve Sales Engineers for World Wide Bookings.

  • Answer phones, direct Customers accordingly.

  • Check Web Store orders that have been entered by the Agents the night before for accuracy.

  • Check own open order report daily to ensure orders ship on time; checking for errors, credit block, late and/or early deliveries.

  • Work with Application Engineering for direct replacement on obsolete pumps.

  • Obtain cost from Materials Department for quotation on S3/S4 N.A. parts to calculate sell prices to agent/customer accordingly.

  • Expedite requests from Customers regarding status of order as to whether order on time, late, or to improve.

  • Work with Materials and/or Production accordingly to handle customer's expedite request.

  • Work with Regional Sales Managers and Flowserve Sales Engineers regarding pricing and/or shipping issues within appropriate territories.

  • Work with Accounting to handle debit/credit issues with Customers.

  • Work with Logistics to obtain freight quotes per Customer's request, or for credit card order process, as well as handling shipping instructions for Customer orders.

  • Process/handle RGA's for return goods from customers

Position Requirements

Secondary School Graduation Diploma

3+ years of related experience

Must have excellent interpersonal

Must have analytical ability and pay close attention to detail.

Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is required


Experience with SAP is preferred

Basic knowledge or experience with SOX is preferred

Flowserve SIHI Legacy product knowledge and foreign language skills a definite asset.

Post Secondary Education in Business Administration would be a definite asset
