A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks an eFraud Security Data Analyst L1 to join our team in Halifax, NS.

This role is to be part of a global IT Security Event Management team, focused on first-line information security event intake and analysis. Monitoring the system environment for potential security breaches, fraudulent activity, and abnormal network behaviors. The members will take in cases, gather supplemental data, and make an initial determination if there is an incident needing further investigation. In cases when risk or threat remain, they will escalate the cases for further investigation and remediation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring of fraud detection and prevention systems.

  • Analysis of case information, including network behavior and user activity, to perform initial evaluation.

  • Troubleshooting/triage of possible fraudulent activity, incident confirmation, and issue escalation.

  • Participation in daily Ready For Business & End Of Day calls.

Skills Required.

  • System (UNIX/Windows) and/or network administration

  • Fraud detection and prevention, and

  • Event and/or incident handling processes and procedures.

Service Desk Application Support

Working knowledge of common operating systems, internet browsers, and software applications.
