As a member of one of our Maintenance Departments, within our manufacturing facility at the Joffre site, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day maintenance support in all areas of the plant.


  • Problem solving and troubleshooting instrumentation issues along with identifying reliability and optimization opportunities.

  • Completing assigned tasks in a timely, safe and accurate manner, overcoming barriers and engaging others when required.

  • Supporting and executing capital and expense projects.

  • Interfacing with internal and external customers including vendors, purchasing, and project teams.

  • Establishing new and maintaining existing preventative maintenance programs.


  • Completion of an Alberta and/or Interprovincial Journeyman Certification in Instrumentation with 5+ years of post-journeyman experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to Responsible Care practices and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Teams.

  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision, managing multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic team work environment with good prioritization skills.

  • Working knowledge of computers, with preference given to the Microsoft suite of products and SAP.

  • Strong ability in establishing new and maintaining existing preventative maintenance programs.

  • Willingness to work overtime and accept callouts when required.

  • Experience with the following would be considered assets: Control Logix and Triconex PLCs, Honeywell TDC3000 DCS, Fisher Valve Link, AMS, Siemens Gas Chromatographs.
