Location:CANADA: Quebec - Laval
PRGXislooking for an AUDITOR, responsible for audit operations by auditing specific vendors, writing claims, and generating revenues for the organization. This position will be based out of ourLaval, Quebec location.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in preparing client information prior to the start of the audit cycle (i.e. buyer pulls)
Examine client payment history, buyers’ files and other documents (correspondence, shipping and payment histories, spreadsheets) related to the A/P function to identify recoverable overpayments and/or under deductions for contract period agreed upon
Locate recoveries by identifying A/P issues that were incomplete, not followed up on and/or were processed in a manner which was not the most beneficial for our client
Develop and compare computer designed reports with documentation related to the audit information and recovery needs of the client
Telephone and/or write the client and vendor in researching potential claims
Continually revise auditing process as new information is obtained (i.e. identify, apply and share new topics to audit)
Produce high quality and well documented claims
May perform correspondence with the client and vendors at the discretion of the Senior Auditor/Audit Manager/Audit Director
Assist in making recommendations to improve PRGX auditing techniques
Assist in making recommendations to improve client operations by analyzing the client’s payment and deduction systems
May supervise Staff Auditors and/or Audit Support
May be responsible for leading a small audit that may include providing direction to less experienced auditors, increase correspondence with the client and vendors, etc.
May send out invoices
Other job related responsibilities may be assigned
Bachelor degree in business, accounting, finance or commerce or relevant work experience (3+ years)
Experience in accounting, finance, accounts payable, merchandising, buying, or audit preferred.
Ability to understand the internal processes of a business (i.e. analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documentation, etc.)
Strong computer skills – Access, Excel, MSOffice
Strong customer service orientation, excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism
A self-starter and team player
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong working knowledge and understanding of retail industries preferred
Ability to successfully manage a team and collaborate with others
Solid financial acumen and understanding of budget, forecast and workforce planning required
May be required to frequently travel –possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
