Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Dispatcher Fluid Hall to be based in our Lloydminster, Alberta location.

This position isresponsible for receiving telephone, email and/or radio requests for equipment and/or services to meet clients' needs while ensuring maximum operating efficiency with minimal cost to company. She/he schedules work orders and dispatches the appropriate field personnel via radio, telephone or computer aided dispatch systems. Shift work is required including holidays and weekends, and some evenings being on-call. She/he is also responsible for effectively training new Dispatchers entering the organization.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that company as well as customer policies and guidelines are followed.

  • Receive requests for service via radio or telephone and assign ticket numbers from JDE.

  • Decide the relative priority of requests for service. Complete daily utilization reports and subsequent data entry into Excel spreadsheets.

  • Coordinate pressure, vacuum, flush by, turnaround and chemical cleaning services to ensure the efficient and continuous operation of revenue producing trucks.

  • Coordinate winch tractor, bed truck, picker truck services to ensure the efficient and continuous operation of revenue producing trucks.

  • Allocate/Dispatch field personnel according to written schedules, work orders or protocols. Using knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan locations, provide directions to field personnel including work order numbers, geographic location and type or service to be performed. Maintain contact to send further information about traffic problems, including construction areas, accidents, weather conditions and other hazards to ensure safety of the unit.

  • Prepare daily work schedules and runs. Monitor workloads of field personnel through records and call logs.

  • Determine the cause of improper resources allocation or client service issues and report to supervisor.

  • Train new employees who enter the organization in the correct procedure for dispatch via-on-the-job training.

  • Create work order for Time and Pay Entry.

  • Working with Field Coordinators as a team is imperative to ensure maximum utilization of our equipment.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Expert knowledge of the geographical area in which they work.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience and/or knowledge in the oilfield industry, specifically dispatching would be an asset.
