Marketing Manager (Distributor Channel) - Markham, Ontario

Your challenge

With direction from the Channel Marketing Director, this position is responsible for implementation of Go To Market Plans related to promotions, sales tools, educational pursuits and communications. Actively participates in the marketing planning process specific to BMC and Go to Market Plans. Interfaces with cross-functional groups that include Product Management, Market Intelligence, Marketing Communications, Operations/Planning, Customer Service and Sales.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participates in quarterly review(s) of progress against marketing plans and recommends /activates corrective actions.

  • Provides input to product management on the development of product roadmaps.

  • Participates in the Market Introduction: work closely with product management, segment manager to ensure the development and timely delivery of new products and new technologies. Ensure channel programs are part of launches.

  • Acts as primary connection for field seller and distributor partner product questions, new product requests, competitive information.

  • Contributes to new business development presentations.

  • Monitors marketplace for new products and promotional activity from competing manufacturers as well as non-Philips distributors. May recommend ways to grow existing distribution, modify current accounts and distribution, and/or regain lost distribution. Analyzes internal/external data on a regular basis to identify shifts in buyer behaviors and gather other insights. Attends industry or relevant trade shows as needed.

  • Internal/external communications: Recommends and coordinates development of collateral materials to support product lines/launches, industry-impacting topics such as legislation, promotional programs, as well as educational materials for field sales and distributor partners. Ensure communication is delivered clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinates development and maintenance of sales tools and educational content across the product teams

We are looking for:

1-3 years in Marketing with successful track record in developing and executing channel strategies.

1-3 years leading trade marketing promotions and/or customer/channel marketing teams.

BS Marketing or Business Administration,

Experience with Microsoft office

Experience creating flyers/promotions

Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously

Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to converse with customers, team mates and representatives

Ability to create trade marketing plans via the use of the business planning templates

Ability to deal with technical products
