IBM Processing Support Services Analyst in MARKHAM, Ontario
The Securities Industry Services (SIS) unit of the Financial Services Sector of IBM GTS offers a complete, comprehensive and robust suite of products and services managing the back office and front office services within brokerage firms, banks, and mutual fund dealers doing business in the Canadian securities industry.We have an immediate opening for a Processing Support Services Analyst to be part of the team that supports our daily batch operations. The primary responsibilities of this position include monitoring daily and month-end batch processing and daily and month-end re-runs, first-level problem determination, as well as fixes abends, when required, and execution of management escalation communication. The candidate is part of a team of analysts who work towards managing delivery of services according to customer service level agreements. The position involves working on a rotating shift schedule, i.e., night shift and day shift. The successful candidate has demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as within the team and must have demonstrated professional communication skills in managing customer expectations and internal team coordination and escalation.
Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science preferred) Fluent in English
Professional communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule, i.e., night shift and day shift
