Johnson and Johnson Inc., is recruiting for a Provincial Sales Manager, Health Care Professional located in Markham, ON to cover accounts in GTA and Northern Ontario.

This position is a 12-month contract role and he/she is responsible for the GTA/Northern Ontario territory. The Provincial Sales Manager, Health Care Professional is responsible for supporting OTC need state priorities by increasing recommendations with targeted HCP’s. These stakeholders include and are not limited to: hospital in and out - patient programs, family health clinics, public health clinics, pharmacists and other targeted HCP’s. Working in conjunction with marketing, professional marketing, and market access, the individual will be accountable to activate customized high value programs to drive growth in key need states such as pain and smoking cessation. A current key focus will be in identifying, developing and implementing smoking cessation programs with key stakeholders within this healthcare space. The individual will be highly motivated with a demonstrated track record of identifying and developing new customers and KOL’s. They will have the ability to partner with health care professionals to design programs which drive results.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Identifying and mapping emerging trends and insights with new innovations, new thinking or new competitive investment in the smoking cessation space.

  • Identifying, assessing and implementing pain management programs in health care settings.

  • Identifying and developing KOL’s and key stakeholders within the priority need state.

  • Partnering with current KOL’s to deliver value added education to health care professionals focusing on Smoking Cessation and Pain Management.

  • Managing and supporting key hospital accounts.

  • Aligning with internal marketing, professional marketing, and market access partners on plans and align to priorities and budgets.

  • Owning the relationship with the leadership of regional commercial customers to develop and execute pharmacy supported programs.

  • Participating as required in the business planning process as a key contributor by providing patient and customer insights relevant to the need state priority.

  • Identifying and supporting key conference and association meetings as required.

  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to shape and deliver customized, meaningful programs to include key performance indicators to measure success.

  • Effectively influencing and communicating/collaborating across internal functional areas as appropriate to ensure that broad-based solutions are developed in support of programs.

  • Developing, exhibiting and maintaining a high degree of knowledge regarding the need state, competitive landscape, industry trends and the healthcare landscape that impacts program support and funding.

  • Managing budgets against programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a University Degree is required; concentration in life sciences, business is preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales and/or experience selling in the Canadian Healthcare environment is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategically identifying, developing and contracting KOL (Key Opinion Leaders) is required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in the identified provincial healthcare environment and infrastructure (i.e. formulary/ private/public payer systems, public health facilities and other government funded healthcare programs).

  • Basic CCPE Accreditation is an asset.

  • This position is based in Markham but does require traveling to accounts in GTA and Northern Ontario.
