Job Title:EH&S and CI CoordinatorRequisition Number:38930Functional Area:Environmental Health & SafetyWork Location:Aerostructures - MirabelJob Description Summary:United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is currently looking for an EH&S and Continuous Improvement Coordinator for its C-Series nacelle integration unit in Mirabel Quebec.Job Description:Offers support for environmental, health and safety programs.Coordinates with senior leadership for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.Organize and maintains EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.Manages relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and UTC requirements.Monitors EH& S systems for day-to-day operational issues.Monitor proper documentation to achieve and maintain compliance and prepares for investigationsOversees internal Continuous improvement (ACE/lean) training, coaching, and facilitating CI events.Recommends process and procedural improvements.Performs other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:• A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.• 5-7 years of experience in a similar position (preferably in the Aerospace industry).• Must be able to travel (mostly to the U.S.) 10-20%• Excellent communication skills (French & English).• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and the ability to implement the Lean tools in the manufacturing environment• Ability to use analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to multi-task, and work under pressure and time-sensitive situations• Ability to demonstrate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)• Ability to work in a team environment with the ability to work effectively with all levels of customers and company personnel• Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in person, or through written communication• Ability to effectively promote a positive work environment• Ability to promote the principles of the UTAS Mission and Operating Principles & Lean Principles• Must possess ethical standards% Travel Required:10 - 20%
