Microsoft Corporation Channel Marketing Manager, Xbox in Mississauga, Canada
Microsoft Canada is looking for an experienced, tenacious, ROI-obsessed and digital savvy marketer to build and execute retailer-specific marketing plans for the Xbox business.
The Channel Marketing Manager, Xbox is responsible for driving increased market share and platform revenue for the Xbox platform by leading and managing go-to-market planning and execution at our managed retail accounts. This requires strong collaboration skills to align multiple teams including Category Marketing, Sales, Retail Excellence, and various internal and external stakeholders. It also requires the ability to use data-driven insights and creativity to understand how to pull the various marketing levers that will maximize the sales opportunity for Microsoft.
A successful candidate will demonstrate marketing acumen, depth of understanding of the digital landscape, familiarity with the retail industry, strong analytical skills to aggregate and share numbers-based analysis and drive best practices. The ideal candidate has: a proven track record in building and executing holistic marketing plans, experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams, exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
•Partner with internal and external stakeholders to build and execute marketing plans for the in-store and online environments that establish an omni-channel experience for the consumer.
•Maintain and oversee Xbox Channel Marketing budget and reporting.
•Develop an in-depth knowledge of the retail partner, how they take products to market, their marketing vehicles, opportunities and timelines
•Develop fully integrated digital marketing campaigns encompassing all the main functional elements including website presence, CRM, Social media, SEO, Mobile
•Manage day-to-day relationship across key Xbox stakeholders: Category Marketing Team, Sales Team, and the Worldwide Channel Marketing Team.
•Bachelor Degree required. 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the retail industry.
•Digital marketing experience with a deep understanding of online marketing channels (search, mobile, social, web, etc)
•Demonstrated ability to drive cross-group collaboration, using strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
•Negotiation and influencing skills that gain successful outcomes for both the partner and Microsoft
•Experience and passion for gaming and the gaming industry is a big plus.
