D E S C R I P T I O N

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director, Distributor Relations, this role will provide leadership and direction to Alternate Site Distributors and customers to meet sales growth and profitability objectives. Responsible for market analysis and comprehensive Business Plan that will fully exploit the market opportunity for BD across all product areas. Builds and maintains strong relationships with Distributors and key customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partnered and launched Infusion education modules with Revera Long Term Care Canada across Ontario.

  • Create clinical visibility for Diabetic insulin needles in the LTC market by conducting road shows and distribution awareness campaigns

  • Cultivate relationships with Distribution partners by offering incentive and training programs to drive growth on current business and develop new competitive opportunities

  • Manage the Vaccination Flu Program in partnership with Rexall and Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacies.

  • Drive growth in the Home Care market through partnerships with medical suppliers by delivering education programs for new innovative technologies.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with EMS (paramedics) providers on existing and new technologies for infusion and injection platforms.

  • Convert customers to ensure compliance with the Ministry of Health safety legislation regarding injection and infusion products

  • Partner with Distributors on RFP bidding, setting up contracts and pricing to ensure profitability

  • Key stakeholder in the development of standard operating procedures for Contracts and Rebates department, which streamlined processes.

  • Lead the Alternate Site pricing strategy with Business Operations to streamline pricing across BDx

  • Work in a team environment with BD Operations, Marketing and Customer Care to ensure continuity of service.

  • Interface with internal customers to create awareness on new business initiatives in the continuum of care market.

  • Yearly preparation and execution of Alternate Site Business plan.

  • Timely and accurate use of Salesforce

  • Leads, directs and motivates Distributors and key customers to achieve sales and profit objectives.

  • Creates an environment of teamwork and collaboration with BD Business Units.

  • Travels with Distributors, Sales Reps to key customer development meetings.

  • Evaluates the Canadian Alternate Site market and BD s current position in the market to quickly identify major sales growth opportunities

  • Coordinate the execution of this growth plan to gain increased market share in the non-Acute Care setting for all BD products.

Qualifications

QUAL I F I C A T I O N S

ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Fluently Bilingual in French/English

  • Strong demonstrated financial and analytical skills related to business plan development and implementation.

  • Proven ability to adapt to distributor & customer varied needs and drive execution.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence others.

  • Proven strategic ability.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Business Degree.

  • 5 years of experience with a focus on sales and new business development.

  • Approximately 40% travel required.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to the Director, Distributor Relationships

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions are typical of a Customer Service Representative role, with overtime and travel required as necessary.
