This role supports the leader of HPE Canada's Enterprise Group and the Senior Leadership team. The intern will assist by working in the executive office to assist and solve common and complex business issues and recommend appropriate alternatives. This role allows you to work on projects of diverse complexity and scope. The successful candidate may act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitating execution within defined timelines. This individual will have the ability to handle most unique situations . Responsibilities
Proactive planning (with Leadership Team) Tracking strategic initiatives by monitoring progress towards meeting goals and achieving benchmarks, analyzing data, ensuring follow-through on the part of key players, and sustaining momentum needed to drive these initiatives Reviewing action items decided upon at each leadership team meeting – preparing a written summary, checking with each attendee to get sign-off on agreed-upon dates of completion and confirming the party responsible for following up on each action item Creating initial drafts of communications, setting agendas Developing and overseeing a process for capturing, analyzing and disseminating key lessons to be learned from strategic initiatives and training, with a view towards helping propagate best practices throughout the enterprise Supporting the execution of priority projects Performing a variety of tasks Leveraging creative thinking
Preparing project plans, objectives, and deliverables
Working with cross-functional teams
Leveraging technology tools for the purposes of data driven analytics, communications and presentation, etc. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in University or MBA program. Typically 0-2 years of experience in strategy, planning, marketing or related functional area.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation writing skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated project management skills
Excellent relationship management skills, including partnering with cross-functional teams Ability to draw on creative thinking Ability to work with limited supervision and maximum creativity toward solving issues and imagining new ideas Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel Interest in event planning is an asset In order to satisfy our contractual obligations with clients, the successful candidate will be required to pass a basic, standard Criminal Records check.
