We currently have an opportunity for an Accounting Manager, Global Services (BGS) to be located in Mississauga, on Northam Drive. Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, this position will manage aspects in relation to Billing & Collections, Accounting & Reporting, and Decision support. This will include, but is not limited to, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to BGS Customers; programming and review of system pricing rules; review of Special Pricing and proactive management of aging Accounts Receivables. The individual will also manage accounts payable reconciliation and payment functions for BGS, as well as, conduct financial analysis including monthly variance analysis.
You will have the opportunity to:
Prepare month-end accruals for revenue and expenses
Ensure month-end close of accounting records are performed in an accurate and timely manner
Conduct monthly variance analysis, reporting, forecast preparation, and weekly/monthly Sales and Operational reports
Review shipments, special shipments pricing, and AP invoices, including freight invoice reconciliations
Liaise and develop relationships with customers; including resolution of invoicing and A/R issues
Analyze AR aging reports and balance credit card payments received
Lead annual Plan for Revenue and ensure plan meets target expectations
Assist with SOX testing and facilitate BCO internal and external audits
Review and approve SOD matrix, SOX process narratives and control owner reiteration for accounting operations
Ideally you will have:
5-7 years of experience at a Senior Accounting level
1-2 years supervisory experience
CPA designation or finalist
Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations
Freight/ Logistics industry experience is considered an asset
PeopleSoft, Hyperion Planning and HFM experience is considered an asset
