Altum Health, a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation and health care provider, is a program of the University Health Network, with over 250 employees across 9 regional areas (Toronto, Cambridge, Barrie, Hamilton, Sudbury, Ottawa, Ajax, Mississauga, and Vaughan). We offer a full continuum of prevention, rehabilitation and health care services to third party payors and individuals, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), employers, and insurers. UHN Altum Health is the largest provider of WSIB Specialty Programs in the province of Ontario.

As an integral member of Altum Health, the responsibilities of the CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST include: conducting independent psychological assessments of clients referred to Altum Health from various referral sources; providing a diagnosis; providing recommendations for further treatment as appropriate; developing and communicating a treatment plan to the client, multidisciplinary team, other stakeholders and referral sources; and preparing documentation and formal narrative reports for the referral source; providing treatment to clients; enabling clients to reach their full functional and work re-integration potential in collaboration with clients, treatment teams and all stakeholders; participating in Continuous Quality Improvement activities; performing cross-functional duties, as assigned or requested; performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.Clinical services may be provided across several of Altum Health's satellite sites via Telemedicine.
Completion of a recognized PhD degree program in Clinical Psychology required
Psychologists in their supervised practice registration year will be considered
Two (2) years rehabilitation experience preferred
Experience working in within a third party payer environment preferred
Registration by the College of Psychologists of Ontario required
Proof of malpractice insurance required
Knowledge of adult psychopathology required
Up-to-date knowledge of assessment of client’s with work related injuries, motor vehicle accident claims, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use,and evidence-based interventions required
Skills in performing psychological tests appropriate for the population required
