The Citi Equities Technology Production Management team are responsible for supporting the applications and processes used by global Equity Trading business groups, and to facilitate the needs of the end-users with respect to those platforms.

CITI is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of ‘Equities Delta1 Technical Applications Support Analyst’ within our team located at Mississauga, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for our suite of Delta1 applications used by the Equities Delta1 front office business.

The role offers direct exposure to the Delta 1 business, and requires a close partnership with application development and infrastructure partners within Equities Delta1 technology, to provide application expertize, and to manage the various stability improvement initiatives.

The role presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join a growing business area. Delta 1 is central to Citi’s Equities expansion plans.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • To provide technical application support to the Equities Delta 1 application suite.

  • Manage major incident situations that impact Delta 1 applications, and provide ownership of the post-mortem process.

  • Partner with development teams to manage stability initiatives such as stability book of works, and failover / resiliency testing.

  • To develop, maintain and enhance monitoring solutions, which will require scripting knowledge to create advanced monitoring solutions.

  • Coordinate and partner with development teams to manage application releases to maintain stability in the environment.

  • Manage the relationship with development and infrastructure teams.

  • Create and maintain a knowledge base to ensure that knowledge transfer takes place within the team

Required Skills/Background:

  • Background of hands-on front office application support

  • Background of technical skills such as UNIX, SQL and scripting

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to manage and track books of work and partner with various teams to ensure that deliverables are achieved.

Qualifications

Required Skills / Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a front-office technology support environment.

  • Experience of managing application stability initiatives

  • Understanding of incident / request / release / problem management methodologies

  • Experience of application release and checkout processes.

  • Knowledge/experience of problem management tools

  • Managing application support knowledge base

  • 3 years’ of Shell scripting, SQL and Linux experience

  • Python/Perl scripting language and / or Java

  • Knowledge and understanding of Equities Delta 1 trading business.
