Job Summary

The Local Communications Specialist is responsible for hands-on management of the North America intranet and other digital channels. This role additionally supports the day-to-day local internal communications, events, and the graphic design needs of the Montreal, Quebec office. The primary focus of this job function is the effective use of communications to drive employee engagement in support of Ericsson’s high performance culture.

You will be collaborating with global team members worldwide in the execution of this role and working within the North America Marketing & Communications team, reporting to the VP of Internal Communications & Marketing Operations for RNAM.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the internal communications plan for North America
  • Developing and writing local news stories, including support of the site’s digital signage system
  • Creating and managing the local weekly newsletter and ensuring that key objectives, strategies and news are clearly disseminated and understood in the local site
  • Managing French content in all areas of visual communications and online presence according to provincial laws
  • Maintaining and updating the North America Regional intranet site to ensure content is posted in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensuring the integrity of the overall structure of the Regional site complies with corporate guidelines and directives
  • Supporting local line functions and executive team members in communications
  • Driving metrics for measuring communications effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, graphic design, communications, or similar area
  • Eight or more years of communications experience
  • Fluency and ability to write and edit in English and French
  • Graphic web design experience in Adobe Dreamweaver; additional knowledge of Drupal, HTML and Java Script preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe graphic design applications including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; and MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience in the ICT industry is desirable

Le spécialiste des communications locales est responsable de gérer l'Intranet en Amérique du Nord ainsi que d'autres canaux numériques. Ce rôle appuie en outre les communications et les événements internes quotidiens, ainsi que les besoins en graphisme du bureau de Montréal, au Québec. Vous collaborerez avec les membres de l'équipe mondiale partout dans le monde dans l'exécution de ce rôle et travaillerez au sein de l'équipe de marketing et communications en Amérique du Nord, relevant du vice-président des communications internes et des opérations de marketing pour l’Amérique du Nord.

Les responsabilités spécifiques comprennent :

  • Soutenir le plan de communication interne pour l'Amérique du Nord.
  • Développer et écrire des nouvelles locales, y compris le soutien du système de signalisation numérique du site.
  • Créer et gérer le bulletin hebdomadaire local et s'assurer que les principaux objectifs, stratégies et nouvelles sont clairement diffusés et compris dans le site local.
  • Gérer le contenu francophone dans tous les domaines de la communication visuelle et de la présence en ligne selon les lois provinciales.
  • Maintenir et mettre à jour le site intranet régional de l'Amérique du Nord pour s'assurer que le contenu est affiché en temps opportun et de façon professionnelle.
  • S'assurer que l'intégrité de la structure globale du site régional est conforme aux directives de l'entreprise.
  • Soutenir les fonctions de ligne locale et les membres de l'équipe de direction dans les communications.
  • Récolter des paramètres pour mesurer l'efficacité des communications.

Qualifications :

  • Baccalauréat en journalisme, design graphique, communications ou autre domaine similaire.
  • Huit ans ou plus d'expérience en communications.
  • Maîtrise et capacité d'écrire et de modifier en anglais et en français.
  • Expérience en conception graphique web avec Adobe Dreamweaver ; connaissance supplémentaire de Drupal, HTML et Java Script préférée.
  • Maîtrise des applications de conception graphique Adobe, notamment InDesign, Illustrator et Photoshop, et les applications MS Office, y compris PowerPoint et Word.
  • Une expérience dans l'industrie des TIC est souhaitable.
