Falls Avenue Resort Promotions Coordinator in Niagara Falls, Ontario

In this high volume, entertainment Resort, the Promotions Coordinator is responsible for driving revenue in an efficient, and safe environment where fun, entertainment and a professional level of service is provided to resort families and guests.

Utilize Resort Characters to entertain and drive business to the resort and work with Business Managers to effectively promote their businesses. Responsible for effective day-to-day operations of the promotional and distribution team. Communicate promotional targets to the team. Maintain and track adequate inventory levels of promotional materials. Record and report distribution and redemption of promotional materials on a weekly basis. Assist in recruiting, training, coaching and scheduling promotional team members.

  • Ability to motivate/lead a team to perform at the highest levels at all times

  • Directs staff in an efficient and fair manner

  • Experience in creating revenue growth strategies and internal controls

  • The ability to work cooperatively with the Attraction, Marketing, Restaurant and Waterpark Managers to create, promote and sustain revenue, driving projects on complex

  • Ensure proper signage and promotional materials are distributed and displayed

  • Train and correct staff, as required, in order to ensure all staff operate at a consistent level of performance

  • Ability to work safely and in compliance with all health and safety policies

  • Available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

  • Assist in developing new events and maintaining, organizing and executing existing events

  • Coordinate event activities and promotions including; event setup, tear down and inventory controls

  • May be required to perform public speaking on occasion

  • Oversees all aspects of Promotions for the Falls Avenue Resort including but not limited to: Character Appearances, Coupon Booklet distributions and Events on property

  • Responsible for character costume operations including care and general maintenance

  • Ability to maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of situation, while performing multiple tasks among staff, guest, management etc.

  • Employs persuasion and influence to initiate and/or resolve matters

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • The Events Coordinator is required to stand and walk for a minimum of 7 hours a day

  • Events Coordinator must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs

  • Will be performing multiple duties outside in summer weather
