Falls Avenue Resort Senior Payroll Administrator in Niagara Falls, Ontario

The Senior Payroll Administrator assists the Payroll Team by performing accurate, timely and efficient processing, verification (both pre and post transmission), analysis evaluation, and reporting of hourly and salaried payroll data for multiple businesses entities on both a weekly and biweekly basis. In addition, the administrator contributes to continuous analysis and improvement of all payroll, processes and procedures, including related operational processes.

Update, calculate and process new hires, status changes, payments and terminations with ADP’s People & Pay at Work. Calculation and processing of termination payments. Calculate, verify and import mass data changes (increases, gratuities, GL labour reporting using MS Excel and ADP importing protocols). Generate and reconcile bi-weekly payroll journal entries. Monthly remittance reporting and filings (eg. WSIB, support and Garnishee payments, etc.). Initiate the Payroll Year End Processing procedures. Maintenance of payroll system and Vacation planning system. Other duties as assigned.

  • Previous progressive payroll experience– preferably in a large organization (500- 1,500 people) Demonstrated previous experience with ADP’s EPP/People & Pay @ Work payroll software

  • Must have intermediate Word & Excel knowledge including pivot tables

  • Ability to handle high turnover and large volumes with entries

  • Demonstrate attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team setting, and must be able to deliver on deadlines

  • Superior organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • CPA Payroll certification preferred

  • May be required to work on holidays
