Business Analyst Co-op - Queen's University Co-op/Intern Students Only
We recruit exceptional people.
We are defining the next generation of banking in Canada, challenging the brick and mortar status quo. We are looking for well-rounded, passionate, and analytical students to join our high performing culture focused on customer-centric design and data-driven problem-solving.
We foster an environment to kick start careers.
We know that the way to attract top talent is to create a fun work environment that fosters learning and career development, which is why we’ve developed our Analyst Development Program. Our new analysts take part in training both in Canada and the US - hands-on learning through activities like case competitions, social activities, and more.
Our office is designed to foster collaboration and innovation. A quick walk around this place will reveal a lot of whiteboards and enough Post-It Notes to be meaningful to 3M’s bottom line. We’re also passionate about our associates having fun here, which is why we have heavily used games rooms with foosball, ping pong, video games, and more. And since it’s uncomfortable to do any of those things in a suit and tie, those aren’t required either. We have a business casual dress code because we believe our associates will do their best work when they’re feeling like themselves.
We create roles that allow your problem solving and creativity to shine through.
To give you an idea of what to expect as a new analyst, here are a few examples:
Melissa did her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Financial Mathematics and a minor in Economics. She was also a volunteer math tutor. At Capital One, her first role was on our valuations team where she used historical data to model customer credit card behaviour.
Becca did her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Marketing. She also competed in case competitions across Canada and internationally. At Capital One, her first role was on our digital analytics team, optimizing our website experience for different customer segments.
Avinash did his Bachelor of Engineering with a major in Wireless Communications and minor in Operations Research. Avinash joined Capital One on our Hudson’s Bay partnerships team where he used data and analytical tools to develop our credit approval policy.
We want to hear from you!
