The Finance Internship Program will help you launch an exciting and challenging career. As an intern finance associate, you will be exposed to:

  • Analyzing profitability performance and exposure to management reporting

  • Preparing financial forecasts in support of evolving product and strategy decisions

  • Participating in the external financial reporting process and related governance

  • Create and maintain robust P&L financial models to support monthly forecasts and reporting activities

The finance internship program also serves as first step towards being considered a candidate for Capital One's Finance Rotation Program for college and university graduates. You'll join talented college grads from across the US in a highly selective, two-year program that prepares you to graduate into a strong finance career at Capital One.

During your two years in this highly selective Program, you'll gain a wealth of experience and be exposed to strategy development and business execution in corporate Finance and/or Accounting.


  • Analyze consumer and commercial banking metrics and performance

  • Prepare financial forecasts in support of evolving product and strategy decisions

  • Develop reporting and analysis to provide insight into business trends


  • Participate in the external financial reporting process, including the quarterly earnings release and securitization trust reporting

  • Prepare accurate and timely reports, schedules and documentation

  • Perform financial and operational audits, test controls and identify efficiencies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration or Accounting from Queen's University

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills

  • Summer Internship/Co-op experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
