Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance Process Improvement, the Maintenance Inventory Technician is responsible for physical and computerized receiving of products at the Bon-Conseil plant. The Technician ensures internal oversight to ensure full compliance with P2P project requirements, works directly with the Operational Buyer on anomalies and improvement opportunities, supports the planning team, and acts as replacement where needed, carrying out tasks as requested.

More specifically, the incumbent of the position will:

  • Be responsible for receiving in Oracle R12 environment;

  • Handle receiving of materials required for maintenance and projects;

  • Handle receiving for subcontracted work, maintenance and projects;

  • Handle receiving of all indirect products;

  • Oversee inventory management in the maintenance department;

  • Participate in developing and creating the stores by developing nomenclature and parts and equipment locations;

  • Monitor stock levels as materials, equipment and other items are put into circulation and transferred within the plant, using a computerized or manual system;

  • Monitor stock turnover, and prepares a list of and eliminates outdated items;

  • Compile inventory reports and records the volume, type and value of available materials, equipment and stocks using a computerized or manual system;

  • Is familiar with and monitors inventory management performance indicators;

  • Act as replacement on an ad hoc basis within the maintenance department;

  • Perform duties when the coordinator and planner are absent;

  • All other related duties.


  • You have a College diploma (DEC) in administration, procurement or industrial maintenance, or a minimum of five (5) years’ experience related to the position;

  • You cumulate a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in supply management (procurement and inventory);

  • You have a good sense of autonomy;

  • You have strong communication skills.
