POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bilingual Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting patients navigate through the reimbursement process, private and/or public. The Bilingual Program Coordinator will facilitate the Prior Authorizations to optimize the plan member’s access to the right therapy. The Bilingual Program Coordinator is responsible for the undertaking of overall management assigned patient cases related to reimbursement and will provide support to the Health Case Managers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan Member (patient) intake to ensure that ensure that the plan member is participating in any available support program that is offered by the drug manufacturer (i.e. Patient Assistance Programs); Ensure that the claimant is participating in any available support program that is offered by the drug manufacturer; Run status reports for call frequency for the specific drug, working with the Health Case Manager; Pharmacy and prescription set up for patients, during the intake process as well as ongoing maintenance for the time the patient is in the Program; Acquire in depth knowledge of public / private and federal funding mechanisms; Coordinate and manage all aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients; Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician’ offices and healthcare professionals in order to maximize reimbursement solutions; Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies, public/federal funding programs, including the monitoring for public formulary coverage for patients who may be able to benefit once coverage is achieved; Be available between the hours of 8:00AM to 8:00PM, with the ability to maintain flexible working hours. Qualifications: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bilingualism (English/French) is required; Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline; Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, in an office setting; Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel); Professional / courteous / efficient telephone manner; Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines; Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Attention to detail; Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or insurance industry is an asset.
