POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Technician will report into the Director, Corporate Services and will be responsible for providing support to the business to improve efficiency, comply with budgetary targets and deal with issues on a daily basis related to the facilities. They will act as a primary contact for the premise they support for facilities issues.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consistently deliver operational contract and service level requirements for all Innomar facilities within scope of responsibilities Be accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities Participate in client and customer committees and activities, such as the Joint Health &Safety Committee, as required Prepare a monthly performance report Assist with the implementation of lifecycle strategies and capital programs to renew or replace infrastructure and assets within the facilities Support and enforce space planning initiatives Oversee the security program for Innomar premises along with the Director, Corporate Services Light maintenance such as moving furniture or equipment, changing light bulbs, paint touch ups, etc. Reading and interpreting documents / policies such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Oversee emergency response plans including evacuation and environmental health and safety Certifying WSIB compliance and safety training for all trades providing services at Innomar facilities Coordination of vendor management, i.e. preventative maintenance programs, contractual agreements, etc. May be required to work off hours / weekends to oversee maintenance or repair issues Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Post-secondary Facility Management Diploma Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with some direct involvement with commercial tenants Experience in maintaining building services utilizing contractors MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work independently without direct supervision while following the instructions of their manager Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a customer service oriented environment Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook Light lifting, bending and general labour as required Job: Administrative Jobs
