Sales Analyst – Performance Reporting

Reports to: Director of Sales Operations (North America)

_SUMMARY_

Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations (North America), this role is primarily responsible for gathering and analyzing data to improve the effectiveness of the sales organization and communicating the results to management. The incumbent manages large data sets from multiple sources in order to provide analytical insight into sales performance. This role will develop key performance analytics for the management team, develop new reporting methods and continuously improve existing tools and models which provide additional visibility on sales performance

_SPECIFIC DUTIES_

Performance Reporting

  • Measures individual sales rep results and provides insight into performance such as the impact of tenure and performance by country

  • Conducts sales performance reporting and analysis at the branch/district/region/country level and monitors trends

  • Develops branch level reports that highlights areas for sales focus

  • Conducts profitability analysis at a customer level to ensure desired targets are achieved

  • Performs pricing analysis for each district and branch and maintains accurate database of pricing levels

  • Measures declining & lost customers

  • Performs in-depth sales commission audits on monthly basis and follows up with field leadership in the event discrepancies occur

  • Implements automated processes to ensure accurate and efficient performance reporting; continuously improves processes

  • Creates ad-hoc reports for SVP of Sales (and Operations) as required

_PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS_

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience managing large data sets to deliver complex performance measurement reporting. Experience designing reports in an ERP environment (such as SAP) preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced level of knowledge in MS Excel, VBA and Access

  • Experience extracting information from SAP

  • Experience developing automated reports in a Business Warehouse (BW) environment

  • Good understanding of object-oriented databases and logical relationships

  • Strong mathematical skills

  • Strong statistical skills (data sets , variance, hypothesis testing, significance test)

  • Expert attention to details and accuracy, able to conduct root-cause investigations

  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts by using provided and own online resources

  • Good knowledge transferring skills

  • Strong business modeling and information management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer focus

  • Strong analytical combined with innovative problem solving skills
