Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Prevention Manager and in accordance with the mandates, priorities and action plans targeted by the Vice President - Manufacturing, Retail Cheese, the incumbent is a specialist in safe behaviour in the workplace and assumes a leadership role to continuously improve the behaviour-based culture of health and safety.

More specifically, the incumbent:

  • Leads, ensures and optimizes the deployment of the daily safe behaviour observation system in accordance with the Agropur behaviour-based prevention program;

  • Ensures adequate training, skill development, coaching and support of supervisors and managers in the observation of safe behaviour as part of floor tours;

  • Provides direct support in managing behaviour issues and the problem-solving process regarding accident/incident analyses and investigations or other issues;

  • Advises managers and supervisors so that the recommended processes, methods and tools foster the development of the behavioural approach in accordance with corporate standards;

  • It may also intervene to coach employees directly on the floor by training in safe behaviors or awareness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Health and Safety, Administration, or other relevant educational background;

  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience;

  • Bilingualism, French and English (spoken and written);

  • Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and standards;

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

  • Knowledge of OSH legislation, knowledge of due diligence, knowledge of OHS Major programs;

  • Strong communication, leadership and mobilization skills.
